HUMANITARIAN  AWARDS

Governor Eliot Spitzer, in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s life and legacy, will announce the recipients of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Awards as part of the King Holiday event.

The King Humanitarian Awards were established as one of the Empire State's highest honors for human service. There are three awards: the Youth, Adult, and Senior Awards.  As achievement awards, they pay tribute to special New Yorkers who have made major contributions toward human and civil rights.
