Dr. King
Memorial
Seeds of
Enlightenment was
commissioned by Corning Incorporated, Steuben, and presented to
the State of New York in commemoration of the 2000 Dr. King
Holiday Memorial Observance held on January 17, 2000. Designer
Eric Hilton stated, "the tiny
polished circles engraved in the crystal represent the seeds of
enlightenment - the planning of ideas that would lead to the
achievements of Dr. King's dream." This magnificent tribute
to Dr. Kings' vision for humankind -- the promise of peace,
justice and freedom for all -- is on permanent display in the
Empire State Plaza's North Concourse next to Key Bank, in Albany.
